At&t security
How would I go about reactivating a already installed at&t security system that was installed when previous owners lived at my home?

You don’t. ATT no longer offers Digital Life. Previous customers had the opportunity to switch to Brinks home security.

Good morning,
Unfortunately, AT&T no longer activates its security systems for service. You may consider contacting Brinks Home™ as they may be able to upgrade your installed system.

I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy S7, new in the box. I was told that it was being recalled,, so I bought another phone. Can you tell me how to get a refund from ATT.
Thank you. Regards, Susan Downes

This is incorrect. AT&T no longer activates any security system.

Hello downesfarm, we're happy to help guide you in the right direction to return your device.
You can return or exchange a device during the 14-day return period. If you purchased the device online, you can contact us so we can get you a return label to mail back your device. If you purchased the device at an AT&T Retail store, you can return it there.
Here's how to return the device:
Your refund for a return will be made through the original payment method (credit, debit, check, etc.) and may take up to two months. Any rebates that were part of original purchase will be voided. We may also reduce the amount of refund for restocking fees or shipping charges.
Let us know if this helps.

You should contact AT&T and ask them to reactivate the security system. They may require you to provide proof of ownership or residency. If the system is still installed, they may be able to do this remotely. If not, they may require a technician to come out and reactivate the system.

I used to have it and liked it a lot. I ended up cancelling when I moved into an apartment.
Never had any major issues with it and any complaint I had they were quick to fix it
Forgot to mention, it's not a guarantee but i have seen people negotiate the upfront costs down. Some have posted online that they were able to do $100 up front for the equipment and even saw a guy post they waived it all but $50 up front which is a lot better. That may be worth a try to call them and inquire about less up front
