Alarm operation after Digital Life service ended by AT&T

We are aware that Digital Life service has been ended by AT&T and our system worked up to today but now both keypads display “software update in progress”. Does this mean that the system is now useless? We had our DLC replaced about two months ago as it was faulty and when the tech reinstalled the new one he reassured us that the alarm would continue working after service was discontinued, the change was that the app would not work, and there would be no monitoring, but we could manually arm/disarm the system via keypads. Is this not correct?

Your Digital Life keypad will not control your system now that the system has been deactivated. Your Digital Life cannot be armed or disarmed.

So we were misled by the AT&T technician who swapped our DLC? 

We would have migrated over to the new service BUT we are relocating in Q1 2023 and could not sign a two year agreement with Brinks as they do not offer service where we are moving to. This is very disappointing and we will probably discontinue additional AT&T services based on this.

@RWM  Hello. I was advised that they did reach out to you and correct the pricing issue and sent you a new contract stating the correct pricing.... as for the installation date for the system, as I mentioned earlier , we had a lot of customers wait until the last day to take advantage of the offer so they are quite backed up with getting folks scheduled. I would ask for your patience while they navigate thru getting folks scheduled. Thank you

@RWM You can disconnect the power to the keypad if you don't want to see that message any longer, as Brinks will not use that keypad since they provide a new one to you.

@RWM  Hello again. I am sure that they are working to install as soon as they can, as it is beneficial to them. However, we cannot advise them to install sooner and have other customers bumped that have been waiting.
