Have you tried resetting the modem?

After resetting the Gateway (as spoom2 suggests), if it still doesn't work, I would:

• Use your browser to visit http://192.168.2.254/cgi-bin/home.ha
• scroll down to the voice section
• See what it says after "line1 and line2"?

Yes many times. I get a solid green light on all 3. But the phone says no line. And when I turn the phone on it goes out. I have a cordless phone. When I hit talk the green light goes out

Well, assuming the phone worked on the old modem have you checked what was stated by @JefferMC. Have you tried a different phone?

Did you try JefferMC's suggestion to check the phone lines through your gateway or spoom2's suggestion to test the line with a different phone?
