Report outage
Is there any way to report an outage on a landline besides staying on hold for an hour or more??

The owner of the line doesn’t have an online account. She is 94.

My landline has been out of service since March 2- over THREE WEEKS! Waiting on hold for an hour, because though ATT is WELL AWARE that there is and has been an issue, the repair phone# posted on the ATT site is NOT in service- disconnected long ago, yet still publicized. It’s also IMPOSSIBLE to make a trouble report online, because that ALSO does not work properly- you’ll get an error message. Waiting for my landline service to be reestablished so I can get a BIG credit, then change to another provider after over 30mYEARS with ATT. ATT is WORSE than DTE. The one thing ATT has that does work- charging via autopay.

Can’t submit a repair ticket online- that system is broken as well- has been for weeks. Guess ATT communication is also broken since no one seemed to remedy that though they were notified weeks ago.

Yup. Agree with ATandTis1234. My landline in Chinatown has been down for a month. I called AT&T twice. All they told me is the cable is out and it's affecting 60 people. When I asked when it will be fixed, they could not tell me. I called today into Customer Service and why they charge me for service, they said they did not have a record of me reporting the outage. She asked me to prove that I called before. I said WHAT? You work for AT&T and do not know that your service line is down? Terrible system record and terrible customer service. No service. No help. Autopay is working.

Let us see what's going on with your phone service, tngai.
Based on the information you provided, we'll have to email the Landline team on your behalf to get more information.
We'll send you a Direct Message to gather your information and start working on a resolution. Look for the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page.

We understand how important having your landline service is, and we'd be happy to help with the service interruption you're experiencing @Kitruf.
We have information here on how to report a problem with your AT&T Home Phone service:
We can also email our POTS team to check on your service to see if they have any further information on the service interuption you're experiencing. In order to do this we'll need to meet in a DM where we'll need to gather some information to email them. Please check your Direct Message inbox (it's the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums).
We look forward to hearing from you.
