If this is traditional landline, POTS, test from the NID and if bad there report to phone company. If digital landline try resetting the modem. Have you reported it to repair service?
Unbelievable - - - - - spent way too much time online and trying to call for help with landline. All I have is a busy signal when picking up phone but there are no units off of their base and on off position. Finally got through on line and was supposed to have someone call my cell in 1-2 hrs. That was many hours ago. Attempted again to set up appt for phone help and that is 2 days out. No such thing as actually talking to a "real person" that is within the continental US. Believe me, if I had the option to get out of ATT I would.
