No line/dial tone at least 3 weeks so far

I’ve been told that a cable in area is being worked on by technicians, I do not see any trucks. Its been at least three weeks. Estimate of repair being done has past a couple of times. How can I get updates of landline repair being completed… or do I need to call every week via a cell phone. Want my landline back.

Have you checked the outage report? If there's a major outage it could take awhile, depends on what it is and how large.

Nothing  shows in outage report and no internet issues. Landline phone is the only at&t service Item, thx anyways, guess i will call them again. Maybe the time is coming to cancel the landline…😟

Do you have a traditional landline, POTS? Or does your phone plug into the back of a modem?

Its the old traditional line. Wall connection. 3+ weeks ago I did the trouble shooting they show on website…no change, then I called ATT.

When you call in to report it are you saying POTS at the voice prompt so you get to the correct group? If you're doing everything you need to it's probably time to a customer care executive by filling out the form. Ignore the heading it works.

Thx. I just called again. Transferred a couple of times to get to landline help(did say POTS, but not understood by first person. Anyways, I was told that problem is still being worked on and doesn't know when it will be done... And I would need to call weekly if i want an update.

You don't say POTS to a person, you say it at the voice prompt prior to reaching a person.

That's the correct number. The information you need is all in this topic.
