How do I add a space to a name on CL-2940 landline phone

The user manual does not show what key or combination of keys that will add a space to the names in the directory. I've tried 0 (zero), the up and down arrow keys. For the heck of it I tried * and #. No luck.

Under the directory information is this Press CALL LOG or DIRECTORY to move the
cursor to the left or right. I would assume moving it to the right would give you a space.

CALL LOG and DIRECTORY on CL-2940 move the cursor left and right and do not insert a space.

If that doesn't work than I find nothing in the manual that addresses it, nor can I find anything searching the Internet. So, like you I can only guess. Try holding the key that moves the cursor to the right and if that doesn't work call the support number in the front of the manual.  Might try pressing the number 1 key 7 times, if you look at the chart pushing the number one key a different number of times gives different  characters. 7, 8 and 9 are blank, maybe one of them is a space, again just a guess on my part.

If the above doesn't help you could use the number 1 key and push 4 times to get a - (dash), better than nothing. Or use one of the other characters. I'd try the support number first to see if they have the answer.  Please let us know if you find an answer.

I was able to enter a space by entering the DIRECTORY key, but only at the end of the name. I cannot insert a space in the middle of the name, since the DIRECTORY key just moves the cursor to the right. It's a quirk I can live with.

Thanks spoom2 for your help.
