Upgrading from AT&T DSL to Fiber; will I have to change my phone service with AT&T?
My DSL service with AT&T will be phased out soon and I'll have to decide on Fiber and what speed to go with. I currently have DSL Extreme 6.0 which is an old account rated at 6.0 Mbps. Fiber has just become available in my neighborhood; the lowest speed available with AT&T is 300 Mbps which I'm considering for $55.00 a month which is what I'm currently paying a month for my DSL 6.0 Mbps.
Will I also have to change my current phone service if I upgrade from DSL 6.0 Mbps to Fiber 300 Mbps? I currently have AT&T landline in my home which I want to keep because when I lose power I can still use the two phones hardwired into the house but I cannot use any of my cordless phones when I lose power like after a hurricane. Feedback from someone in the know would certainly be appreciated.

Will I be required to have an active phone account with AT&T to be able to receive any form of AT&T Fiber internet service or could a fiber account be separate from a phone account? Could I receive a separate bill from AT&T for my fiber internet service or would the monthly charges for any AT&T Fiber internet service always be included on my monthly AT&T home phone bill?

Phone service isn't required for AT&T Fiber and the bills for both service don't have to be combined, STEVORENO0655.
