Could it be because I just recently canceled my wireless service entirely? And they are just being spiteful and increasing the charges on my only line?

look at your bill no one here knows why your bill increased seriously doubt at&t raised your bill out of spite, perhaps you had a bundled price and cancelling your wireless voided the deal

Hi there, sbrown888. We understand that you have a price increase with your AT&T Home phone service, and you are not sure why. We can help with that.
The easiest way is to have two things in front of you, your current bill and a bill where your phone was for 20.00.
Over on the right side of the bill there is some texting in italics that could say something like, "One Time Charges" or "Service Changes". That will explain what is happening on the bill and why the price increased. Also, a good thing to point out is if there are any differences between the bills, such as a promotion.
Promotions have a certain period of time that they are good for, and when the promotion period is over, they can roll off the account. That can also raise the bill. Those are normally listed in the center column, on the left side of the bill.
If you have further questions about your home phone service billing, you can give our team a call at 1-800-288-2020 option 1. Also, you canview bill changes online.
If there is anything else that you need, please reach back out to us again. Thank you for using the AT&T Forms.
