digital phone records

In Dec 2021 we changed our ATT landline to a digital phone. I want my phone records for the current year, Jan 1, 2022 to present. I saw the instructions online for retrieving call history, but it is only for 60 calls.I could get that in 2 days. I called customer service - spent over an hour.  One rep named Alex said I needed an attorney, the other (Alex with a different voice) left a callback message & said I need power of attorney. I am asking for my own records. I have the correct log in information & passcode. If only 6 months is available, I can deal with it, but don't really understand it.  I am not asking for years ago history, although have been an ATT customer for over 50 years.  What is required to get my own records?  This topic does not really involve phone features, but there is no appropriate choice in the drop down menu. Thanks

On the first page, click See Usage Summary.  That should take you to Billing & Usage with a drop down menu for each billing cycle but I just realized that that is not all calls...something called "off net".

Unless @sandblaster wants to offer step-by-step instructions you're back to square one.

You have discovered what you can and cannot access on your own.  Are those records available?  Most likely but they are not easily accessible.

While you would not need a POA, you may need a court order to justify pulling 8 months of records.

Plan B would be to tag @ATTHelp to see if they can offer any insight or assistance.

Thanks Skeeter - just does not make sense to me for digital records of my own.  I can easily access wireless records for a period longer than that.  If calls were put on the bill as they are on my Verizon cell phone, it would not be a problem - except there would be multiple entries for unavailable, suspected spam, telemarketer, anonymous & various spoofed calls each day.  :|

Just like wireless, you should be able to see the last 16 months of call logs online. I’ve got a digital line and I just checked, my call history goes back 16 months. I have no idea why you aren’t seeing your call logs for all of 2022, you should.

@sandblaster  You're right but geez that takes some digging around!

TBH...I've never had the need or desire to look at my call logs.

@bettnott. As sandblasted says....the logs are there.  It just takes some tenacity to find them.

Hey there bettnott, we will gladly help you find your call logs from earlier in the year!

We'd also like to thank skeeterintexas and sandblaster for their assistance!

Let's try to determine if the call logs aren't loading due to a problem with the website. Start by clearing your browser cache and cookies. This will remove any stored data that has built up over time and may be affecting the website.

You can also flush your DNS cache. DNS is what allows you to use your web browser to find websites. Sometimes, for various reasons, it becomes corrupt or out of date, or just malfunctions. Flushing it helps improve website performance.

Here are the steps:

  1. Open Run/Search “CMD” to launch command line and type the following:
  2. ipconfig /flushdns
  3. C:\> ipconfig /flushdns

You should see:

Windows IP Configuration

Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.

C:\>

We also recommend seeing if the older call logs will load on the myAT&T app. If they do, that will let us know the problem is not with your account.

We'll be awaiting your response to further assist you!

Thanks for your replies, but nothing is working.  I am following the steps on the ATT webpage.  I log in, go to my phone service, manage my phone/phone features/manage phone features/click on See call history.  Nothing happens, but alert says javascript void.  I am on an Apple MacBook.  The cache has been cleared, so not the problem. I have tried on 3 different browsers. I would think ATT would support Mac & Windows operating systems.

Are you doing something different or taking other steps that I am not?  Your help is appreciated!

I was on my Android tablet when I managed to find the call logs.

Skeeter - I am outside of Houston.  Did you go through the same steps as I did on your Android tablet & click Call History, or did you do something different?  I tried downloading the AT&T app on my phone & it does nothing when I click on Call History.  Thanks

Oh my gosh Skeeter - you are my hero!  I have been using the AT&T instructions that said click “see call history”.  I was not concerned about my usage, since it is unlimited.  When I clicked on the Usage Summary as you said, I found what I needed.  Thanks so much for your help & staying with me until solved!  Betty
