After five day service outage, Caller ID no longer worked after service restored

I am hoping to avoid the robo-(Edited per community guidelines) of calling the xxx-2020 service number, the only one I can find.

To do so, it will be necessary for us to work in a DM in order to protect your information. Please keep an eye out for our message at the top right-hand corner of the forums, next to the bell Icon.
If you'd like to know more about caller ID, you can get started by taking a look at our support site article on Caller ID and Call Waiting ID.
In general, we would also recommend resetting your phone if you have not done so already. Please unplug the power cord to your device, wait at least thirty seconds, and plug it back in. Your device may have another way of rebooting depending on if your service is a Traditional home phone, Wireless Home Phone, or an internet or VOIP phone. Not sure which you have? Take a look at our different Home Phone Plans.

Tried the reset: no change.
Checked the Caller ID support site article: not pertinent.
Any other suggestions?

If this isn't digital service or a wireless home phone than resetting isn't going to have much effect. It would help to know the service and again you're going to need to report it one way or the other if it's POTS service.
