HBOmax with new wireless plan

I recently changed my wireless plan, which I was able to still get HBOmax for free with. However, I was instructed that I would need to sign up again for HBOmax and could use my same email. However, I can't seem to figure out how to do that. I have seen other forum questions in which gives instructions to go to the account overview page and then activate HBOmax. I do not have that option on my account overview page. How do I get my HBOmax back?

Hi there @amharmon, that is a great question about your wireless HBOmax.

 

You have stated there was a recent change to you plan and will want to follow the steps below!

  • Confirm your plan: Some customers who thought they were signed up on an eligible AT&T Unlimited plan found that upgrading to an AT&T plan or package that includes HBO Max or choosing it as an add-on resolved their experience.
    • Not signed up? Go to your myAT&T account overview. Then, choose your service and follow the prompts to update your package or plan.
  • Signed up on the correct plan? Make sure you are: 
    • Using the correct AT&T user ID, from an account that does include the qualifying AT&T service, with HBO Max.
      • Wireless - You may be attempting a different wireless user ID than the one that was used to create the HBO Max.
      • Internet – You may be attempting to use the member ID instead of the user

I have the unlimited premium plan. I do have the option to make HBOMax and add on, but when I click it it takes me to my old account and it tells me my subscription expired. When someone changes their plan where you still get the same discounted option you shouldn’t have to re-up for that.

I have the option to add HBOMax, but when I click on it I get an error message about completing signing up.
