HBO Max Not Showing on My Account

I got an email saying my internet plan comes with HBO Max, but it doesn't show on my account dashboard like the email says.  I tried to log in straight through HBO and it says I need to activate my HBO Max account on AT&T first.  What do I do?

We're here to help get you set up for HBO Max, scroll427!

 

To register for HBO Max, you'll need to do the following:

  1. Sign into your myAT&T account.
  2. Select the HBO Max tile on your account.
  3. Check what it displays.
    • If it displays Get Started, then you will need to click on the HBO Max tile to activate your new HBO Max account, and follow the prompts available.
    • If it displays See What's On TV, then your HBO Max account is already active. All you need to do is sign into your HBO Max with your uder ID and password, and you'll be ready to go.

We have some great information on HBO max sign in issues. Here, you will want to verify you have a qualifying service plan and also confirm you are using the correct user ID and password. Then proceed as follows:

  1. Download the HBO Max app or visit play.hbomax.com/login
  2. Choose your provider. (If you have our service, select AT&T)
  3. Sign in with your User ID and password. If you don’t have one or forgot it, You can also create an ID or look it up.

If that does not help, let us know:

  1. What plan do you currently have with us? (To confirm it is a qualifying service plan).
  2. Do you get an error message or error code when you try the steps above? (This error message will let us know what the issue is).

For those having issues. What worked for me after talking to 20 different people, going through all the toubleshooting etc was eventually one rep had the brilliant idea to add some "code" to the at&t/HBO Max account on their end. After the code was uploaded evehjting was well again. Call the rentention line and ask to have someone do this.
