HBO Max free through wireless plan

When I got my new phones , I got free access to HBO Max as long as I sign in through AT&T as the service provider. Does anybody know how long it remains a free service? Is it three months, one year, indefinite? Nobody actually informed us when we got the phones how long it would be or if/when HBO would start charging, and I couldn't find the answer through myAT&T or google

Hi there, @1sarina! Here's the scoop on how long you can enjoy free HBO Max with an eligible AT&T Wireless Unlimited Plan.

Wireless-only customers can stream HBO Max for free as long as they're signed up on an eligible wireless package, so the offer is indefinite, though it can change at any time.

If you have one of these unlimited plans, you get HBO Max included. You may have to activate it on your account.

Eligible unlimited plans

  • AT&T Unlimited Elite
  • AT&T Unlimited Plus
  • AT&T Unlimited Plus Enhanced
  • AT&T Unlimited Choice
  • AT&T Unlimited Choice II
  • AT&T Unlimited Choice Enhanced
  • AT&T Unlimited & More Premium (you may have to activate HBO Max online at att.com)

Not sure which plan you have? View your current plan.

Don’t have an eligible plan? Change your plan.

Heads up: Have more than one wireless account with separate IDs? Make sure you sign in with each account to confirm which ID is tied to your HBO Max subscription benefit.

Find out more by visiting Stream HBO Max with some AT&T unlimited plans. Existing customers on many of our video packages are also eligible for HBO and HBO Max for 3 months at no additional charge when HBO Max launches.

After 3 months, HBO and HBO Max will auto-renew at the then prevailing rate unless customer calls to change or cancel. Limit one 3-month offer per AT&T customer. This excludes video customers on our lowest tier plans such as DIRECTV FAMILY, U-Family, U-Basic, AT&T TV Now PLUS. Again, this offer is subject to change.

We hope this info helps. Thank you for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums.
