Hi there @hsimon921, we're here to help you deactive ActiveArmor on your account, and remove the app from your device.

There are multiple sets of instructions you'll need to follow in order to completely cancel ActiveArmor. If you don't have ActiveArmor Advanced, then you can skip to the Deactivate and remove ActiveArmor section. Otherwise, please start by following this first few steps:

  • Downgrade from ActiveArmor Advance by
    1. Opening the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app, and go to Settings
    2. Tap Account
      • If you have an iPhone, choose Subscription.
    3. Select Free.
    4. Follow the prompts.
    5. Cancel your subscription through your device's app store, or your MyAT&T account.

This will remove ActiveArmor Advanced from your account, but you'll still have access to the free ActiveArmor app and features. To remove this, just follow the next set of instructions:

  • Deactivate and remove ActiveArmor
    • Go to Settings in the ActiveArmor app.
    • Tap Account and choose Remove Service
      • On an iPhone - confirm you want to remove this feature.
      • On an Android - select AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security.
    • Tap Remove to finish.

Doing this will remove the ActiveArmor feature on your device. Finally, you'll just need to uninstall the ActiveArmor app which you can do from your device's app store. Make sure to follow the above steps before uninstalling the app, as just removing the app won't deactive or downgrade your ActiveArmor service.

Thanks for being a part of AT&T, please feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions.

I do not have those options. There is no selecting “Free” & I did confirm I have the Advanced plan. There is also no option to “Remove Service”.

Hey hsimon921! We want to help you remove the AT&T ActiveArmor app!

Customers can add or opt-out of the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app through the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android), att.com/myatt, or myATT app in the Account menu:

  • Opt-out: Account > Manage Device > Add-Ons > See all add-ons > My add-ons > AT&T Mobile Security > See options > Opt out of AT&T Mobile Security & Call Protect > Let’s Review > Read and accept Ts&Cs.

Since you stated that you have the AT&T ActiveArmor advanced mobile security, you may have one our premium plans (Unlimited Elite, Premium or Extra), please let us know.

Reach back out to us if you are still unable to remove the feature on your end and we'll bring you into private and try to remove the feature on your account.

Let us know if this helps! Thank you for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums!

Mine says at the bottom "this app can't be removed". I want it removed. I am not happy with it. How can I remove my device from this?
