Can I add a wireless access point to the MR1100? To extend coverage in home.
I have an unlimited data plan AT&T with a Nighthawk LTE Mobile Hotspot MR1100 and it works okay, but the coverage inside the home is limited physically due tot he location of the hotspot. Is it possible to add an AP elsewhere in the home to extend coverage? I've done this with other wired routers but not this hotspot. Any help is appreciated.

Let's answer your inquiry in regards to your Nighthawk LTE Mobile Hotspot Router connectivity woodkraftz.
As @JefferMC mentioned, you're able to add a wireless access point to your Mobile Hotspot Router. Keep in mind, using a third party device, there's no guarantee that you will not experience any service complications. We advise, when looking for a third party device, make sure it's compatible with AT&T services. You can read more about your hotspot specifications using the User Guide.

I don't see why you could not attach an access point to an Ethernet port.

Initially, I was thinking of staying completely wireless etween the AP's, but wired may be the way to go. I will connect it and see how it goes. I'll post back with results.

Using an extender probably would work. But I rarely recommend extenders to begin with. :)
