2 numbers on one phone

Hello @clhulett , we're happy to help with information about converting your SIM to a eSIM.

Converting to a eSIM allows some devices with eSIM capabilities to support more than one phone number. A dual SIM phone is one that can have two active numbers, plans, or accounts. You get this convenience on one device because it has two separate SIMs.

• A physical SIM: A plastic card inserted into your phone.
• An eSIM: A digital SIM you download to compatible devices.
• You may have a physical SIM and an eSIM or multiple eSIMs.

Good to know: Some dual SIM devices are really Dual SIM, Dual Standby  devices. With these, both SIMs can be active at the same time. Want to know more? Go to Device Support and choose your device. Select Device info and look for Dual SIM.

Ready to activate your device?  To complete activation of an eSIM for AT&T Wireless, make sure it’s on an active plan, then download it over Wi-Fi.

1. Go to your myAT&T account overview.
2. Scroll to My devices.
3. Choose Manage for the device that needs a new eSIM.
4. Scroll to Options & settings and select Get a new eSIM.
5. Confirm your selection to Get a new eSIM.
6. Follow the prompts to complete your eSIM setup.

Hey there @clhulett, we'd be happy to help you with receiving the same calls on two different devices. 

Before you begin, you'll need to:

• Set up Facetime. 
• Sign in with the same Apple ID on both devices. 

Next, you'll need to set up your device and other devices you want to connect by doing the following:

1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular.
2. If your iPhone has Dual SIM, chose a line (below Cellular Plans).
3. Do any of the following:
   • Tap "Calls on other devices", turn on "Allow Calls on other devices", then choose the devices on which you'd like to make and receive calls. (This allows other devices where you're signed in with the same Apple ID to make and receive calls when they're  nearby your iPhone and connected to Wi-Fi. 
   • Tap Wi-Fi Calling, then turn on "Add Wi-Fi Calling for other devices". (This allows other devices when you're signed in with the same Apple ID to make and receive calls even when your iPhone isn't nearby. 
4. On your other devices, do the following:
   • Go to Settings > FaceTime, then turn on FaceTime and Calls from iPhone.

We just purchased two new iPhone 12s from AT&T for work and I requested they be setup for 2 lines on each phone, but I don't believe my iPhone 12 has Dual SIM. I am not seeing the option to choose a line under the cellular plan. So now, what do I need to do? I really need to be able to receive calls from both numbers on each phone.

I have found the 2 IMEI numbers on my phone. The IMEI2 is under the available SIM. There is also numbers in the EID spot. I am on an active AT&T wireless plan, but I don't understand how to download an eSIM and activiate it.

If you just received your eSIM device, activating it is really easy. 

1. Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular service.
2. Go to Settings, then select 'AT&T plan ready to be installed'.
3. Select Continue.
4. Your eSIM will now download and install.

I see an option to convert to eSIM on my phone? What does this do, and will it allow me to add the other phone line to this phone?
