Hi there, Valerydees! In order to receive text messages about your Hotspot usage you will need to set up usage alerts.

To receive wireless data usage alerts simply follow these steps:

  1. Go to your myAT&T profile. Sign in, if asked.
  2. Select Communications.
  3. Toggle each alert On or Off. Then, let us know where we should notify you.
  4. Select Save.

Check out the information under Wireless data usage alerts info when you visit Customize usage alerts. There are important details to consider when setting up those alerts to your phone. Details like your current AT&T plan, speeds, and when you will receive an alert.

Otherwise, apart from usage alerts, you will need to sign in to check your hotspot data use:

  1. Go to Usage. You’ll see an overview of your data use since your last bill.
  2. Select a bill period from the dropdown.
  3. Find the number you want info on and look for Includes mobile hotspot data. We’ll show you how much the device has used, if applicable.
  4. For detailed info, select View more usage details and choose See data, text, and talk logs.

View Manage hotspot data at Check mobile hotspot data use where you find ways to keep track of your data which will include information about usage alerts and even how to manage international usage.

We hope this info helps. Thank you for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums.

I think they talk about hot spots (and maybe hot spit, who knows) over on the Wireless forum so I'm moving you over there.
