Stream Saver

I got a text yesterday saying that Stream Saver had been added to my phone plan. I have the GoPhone plan, 4 GB of high speed data that then slows way down when I've used all the high speed data. Ever since they added the Stream Saver it seems like my data has slowed down. Is this what's going on? Does it slow down my data? Should I turn it off? I don't really use my phone fir watching videos except like the short ones on Instagram. Please advise!

Stream Saver should not impact your data speed. When you stream video, you stream it at a lower resolution which means using less data but the data speed should not change. If you don't stream video, go ahead and turn it off but turning it off shouldn't make any difference in your data speed. If it does, perhaps stream saver isn't working as it is supposed to.

Btw, the $45 Gophone plan now has 6 gigs of data.

Make sure you update your plan on Next refill.
