SMS message sent via email bounced
When my company attempts to page me, they receive this error message via email:
This Message was undeliverable due to the following reason: <xxxxxxxxxx@txt.att.net> has restricted SMS e-mail Please reply to <xxxxxxxxxx@txt.att.com> if you feel this message to be in error.
It had worked until about a month ago.
Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback @shalvor
Have you tested the the email to text feature by using your 10-digit wireless number with @mms.att.net to see if the specific email can be sent?
You can also review our Resolve Email Issues Article for more information and details with troubleshooting your email.

@shalvor You can use the "SMS" version of this too, just replace "MMS" with "SMS", for the email destination. This is assuming no "MMS content" however, mostly just alpha-numeric messages, but it seems to be a more stable interface...

Hello @shalvor
Thanks for your post.
We can help you send email-to text messages. Instead of xxxx@txt.att.net, use your 10-digit wireless number followed by @mms.att.net to send a message.

Thank you. I'm more concerned about receipt of SMS emails as that is how my company pages us out. My error message says "xxxxxxxxxx@txt.att.net> has restricted SMS e-mail". How can I un-restrict it?
Thank you again for your assistance!

I finally got some folks at the AT&T Help Desk to assist. It was discovered that the setting wasn't under "text messaging" in the AT&T Provisioning System, it was under "Email Gateway" in the AT&T Provisioning system. Once she found that, she unchecked the block and my test message went through. Thank you all again for trying to help!

Having a similar issue. When you say, "it was under "Email Gateway" in the AT&T Provisioning system. Once she found that, she unchecked the block and my test message went through," is this on the ATT internal side or in the phone? I am not receiving some safety alerts but others in my organization are. Mine show in the sender's system as "The txt.att.net server informed us that this message bounced." Any help would be appreciated.

Hello there, I will be more than happy to help you with all of your inquiries!
Have you tested the email to text feature by using your 10-digit wireless number with @mms.att.net to see if the specific email can be sent?
You can also review our Resolve Email Issues Article for more information and details with troubleshooting your email.
Do check the setting if your text messaging is turned on? Also is the AT&T Provisioning System, under "Email Gateway" in the AT&T Provisioning system or not?
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us, we are here to help.

Yes I tested @mms.att.net and same result: 505 5.1.1
As to the following, may you please elaborate as I do not understand the question? : "Do check the setting if your text messaging is turned on? Also is the AT&T Provisioning System, under "Email Gateway" in the AT&T Provisioning system or not?"
Is this not on AT&T's side? Or is there a setting to check in the phone?
Can you please elaborate as I do not understand the question?
