Sending txt from pc to cell using txt.att.net fails
When using the att text gateway (txt.att.net) message bounces with a Postmaster error message. This service had been working up to a few weeks ago. Also tried using image gateway (mms.att.net) which also failed, but did work one time with almost an hour delivery delay. No blocks set on recipients phone, also same failures seen on 2 different pcs.

The failure is the text message never gets from pc to cellphone, the message does not get through or beyond the at&t gateway. There is no problem with the receiving cellphone as the message never gets to it
We only use the att gateway to send texts to one person. The failure occurs in trying to send a txt msg from a PC, primarily an Hp Pavillion desktop running windows 10 latest build with MS Edge also latest build. The gateway had been working for more than a year from this PC. Once the failure occurred on the Hp I started testing from other devices, my generic PC and my T-Mobile cell phone.Using SMS from my cell and and another, also Android cell, sms and mms work fine. The problem only occurs when attempting to EMAIL an sms or mms message via the txt.att.net or mms.att.net gateway servers. As I described earlier I can replicate the problem from another pc and 2 cell phones, using various WEB Browsers, i.e. Edge, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Samsung and DuckDuckgo for cellphone. Summarizing: emailing a text or multi media message via various internet browsers opening PC based MS Live.com on various web browsers or PC based MS Office Outlook, or using the Google store MS Outlook App, or misc internet browsers on 2 different cellphones, ALL of which replicate the ATT gateway failure.

You keep saying PC but the text gateway is for email to text. The gateway only accepts emails from a registered email domain. What email service are you using?

I have this problem. I cannot send text messages to [email scrubbed] or to [email scrubbed].
I am using a PC desktop with both LiveMail and gMail to send these messages.
It is not the problem of my email clients. I send to a variety of other cell phone carriers with no problem.
It is ATT's screw up somewhere.
