Phone Number Recycling/Reusing
Can anyone shed light or give background on AT&T policy for reusing phone numbers? I disconnected my line over a year ago and have read about problems in the telecom industry with reused numbers.
Does anyone know or can describe AT&T policy when recycling/reusing phone numbers?

There is no stated policy that is published.
The general understanding is disconnected numbers cannot be used for six months. After six months they go into ‘the pool‘ and can be reassigned or selected randomly.
