NO MOBILE NETWORK after today's update.

I have no mobile network after the update.

I have a Galaxy S5.  I've tried shutting it down. taking the battery out, etc.  I really need to get back online.

Hey there @kinsy2323

 

I’d be happy to help with your data connection! Please try the following:

 

  • From the home screen, tap apps
  • Choose Settings
  • Tap WiFi
  • Disable Smart Network Switch (clear any checkmark)
  • Reboot the phone

 

Then try once again to access the internet via data! This seems to be a common issue from the recent software update. This fix should restore data access whilst a correction is made for the update.

I ran into a similar situation recently where I could not get mobile data connectivity even though I had 5/5 bars on 4gLTE signal strength. I have an HTC One X+, so the details of what to do were a little different. I went to Settings > WiFi > Advanced, unchecked "Auto Connect" and rebooted. Mobile data connectivity restored with 2-3/5 signal strength.
