Mobile hotspot
My plan details for mobile hotspot says 15 GB per device. It also says " After 15 GB, Mobile hotspot speed slows to a maximum of 128kbps. " When I called at&t they said once I get to 15 GB of mobile hotspot data it is turned off until next bill cycle. I am confused since other cell phones providers just reduce the speeds of mobile hotspot. If this is at&t new change I will be looking for a new provider. Does anyone know the truth? Or is At&t trying to get people to switch to a 50 GB mobile hotspot plan?

Your hotspot data is not turned off. As your plan detail says it “slows to a maximum of 128kbps”. Note that’s a maximum of 128kbps and may be even slower. The point is that it will basically be unusable.

Thank you and that's what I thought. But they claimed that's why my mobile hotspot couldn't even be turned ON. When trying to enable mobile hotspot on my android phone and receive an error about a temporary network problem please try again later. The real problem was something in Active Armor app that I had just activated! Uninstalled it and I was able to turn mobile hotspot on again!
