Is this a legitimate supplier? (UnlimitedVille Mobile HotSpots using AT&T data)
Hello! Ive been looking for internet options in my area and the options are pretty limited. We have great at&t cell service (4G LTE) and we have an unlimited plan so we usually use our phones to use the web and watch videos and such instead of our computers. Recently, my dad started working from home and the need for better internet arose. I stumbled across this provider, UnlimitedVille, who claims to use AT&T cell towers to provide 4G LTE hotspot service with an unlimited data cap without throttling. The whole company seems a bit sketchy to me for multiple reasons.
First, I have no idea if they are an authorized vendor of At&t services and would like to know if they are, or if this is a scam or something of the sorts (this is the main reason that I am on this forum).
Second, if they are an authorized vendor, is the service really unlimited? I feel that at some point they have to cut you off for excessive usage. With the provider for internet that we have now (Only provides speeds of 5mb dowload and 1.5mb upload) we usually use around 200-300gb per month (we have a big family and when we have my oldest brother home for the holidays we use quite a bit more). Finally, I would just like to know if this is a real and valid source of internet for my household and if it would suit my needs for internet. If this is a valid option, that would be amazing. Our speeds now are very slow, but if we were able to utilize AT&T cell service for data, our speeds would be exponentially better (I ran a speed test with my phone and I got 45mb/s Download and 10mb/s Upload).
My Final question is more related to my personal wants and needs. I do play quite a bit of video games outside of work and I know that NAT type is very important to the games I play for connectivity purposes. I know nothing of the technology and how it works when it comes to NAT assignment and firewalls. Ive tried tethering my phone to my console in the past but my NAT type was always strict. If I were to use a 4G LTE router like the MOFI SIM4 Router with the UnlimitedVille service, would my NAT type still be strict because that is how 4G LTE data service will always be, or would there be a way to make my NAT type strict by port forwarding or another method?
Thank you so much for reading the entire thing and it would help me greatly if you could answer anyone of my questions. I would love to use this service if it is legitimate but if not, I would rather be safe and not pay for a service that is illegally providing a service or is a scam. Again, thank you for reading and I hope to hear back from someone soon!
NOTE: I know 4G LTE service isnt very reliable when it comes to consistant speeds. I know that speeds differ very often, but any speed 4G LTE could offer at any point seems better than what I have now.
