How much data access do I have with AT&T International day pass ?

It is not clear to me how much data access I can avail during my stay. During my international travels in the past few years, I think I had only 2 GB total data access and that would finish off in a few days after I arrived, and then I would struggle for data. This was not at all any value for money. While I would end paying for 15-20 days stay totally $150 - $200 dollars before they had the flat $100, I would have only very limited data access. So please confirm how much data can I avail ?

The international day pass lets you use whatever data your regular plan has. If your regular plan is capped, you only have however much data is left for the month. If you have an unlimited data plan, then you have unlimited while traveling too.

Hello Swechchha, that is a good question about data usage with the International Day Pass.

Data will be drawn from your domestic plan allowance with the same data and speed restrictions. If your domestic plan includes Video Management, it will apply to your international package or feature.

If you go over the amount of data in your qualified domestic plan, overage charges or data speed reduction of up to 128Kbps apply in accordance with the terms of your domestic plan. If your data speed is slowed, all your data use, including audio and video streaming, picture and video messaging, and other types of data use will be impacted and may not work.

Incidental data usage: Apps on your device use data even when you may not be aware. Such usage may trigger the daily fee. To avoid unintended use of IDP, turn off cellular data roaming in your device settings.

Usage charges
As of July 14, 2021, International Day Pass now covers over 210 countries. If you talk, text, or use data in countries not included in International Day Pass, pay-per-use rates apply.

Data charges

  • Check the apps on your device. Apps running in the background may use data and trigger the daily fee.
  • Turn off data roaming on your device to avoid unintended data use. To learn how, go to Device Support.
  • Avoid streaming Data Free TV abroad to stop international data charges. Data Free TV isn’t available outside the U.S. so international data charges apply.

Feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions or concern.
