Getting Spam Texts through @txt.att.net
I'm getting spam texts from email addresses. The problem is outlined here:
https://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-block-text-message-spam-on-your-iphone-at-t/
However, the link to "fix" this problem doesn't work anymore: http://mymessages.wireless.att.com/
The spam is coming from a wide variety of email addresses such as @chase.com, @amx.com (american express), @usaa.com, @aol.com, and many others. This all happened after I foolishly gave my phone number to Geico for a stupid free bag. They are already my insurance carrier, but I needed a bag at the time. I even checked the box DON'T SEND ME SPAM. Screw you Geico. I know you did this.
Anyway, now that I'm done venting, what can I do to disable anything sent to me through @att.txt.net? I spent a couple of hours talking to CSRs who didn't seem to grasp the problem. Please tell me there is a way to end this madness.

This would work if I was only getting spammed from the same address or domain. However, I am getting spammed from many different email addresses with different domains. If I have to block each email address, I will be blocking email addresses until the end of time since a spammer can just come up with a new email account like they have been doing. I need to block ALL EMAIL from any source going to my phone number. I never want to receive an email through MMS. This will 100% always be spam.

Thanks for your feedback @JoyfulFeelings
We understand how frustrating this may be when receiving pop-up spam emails. You can follow these steps:
You can also check out our AT&T Spam Protect Article for additional information.
We hope this helps and have a nice day!

Hi @JoyfulFeelings
Every AT&T wireless number has a corresponding https://soc.att.com/2T9jMZn email address. We are unable to block all email to your https://soc.att.com/2T9jMZn address. Here is some helpful information to help you report fraud if it happens to you by email, text message, or phone.
We hope this helps. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with. Thank you!

This is NOT helping. We are specifically requesting to be allowed to decline being able to receive any emails sent to a txt.att.net account. Blocking every single individual originating email address, when the spammers keep changing addresses with each spam email, is a waste of time for us, while it should be quite easy for your programmers to install an option for users to opt-out of this feature. I've been an AT&T mobile user for 18 years and I've NEVER used that feature. However, it's clear that spammers have discovered it and implemented using that to bother people since it seems that the government is cracking down on spammers making phone CALLS.
You, as a team of AT&T customer service reps, need to give the heads-up to your superiors that you are receiving many complaints from users who are being drowned by spam texts from email addresses, so something can actually be done at the AT&T level! If you can't do that you need to tell us where to address our complaints so they're taken seriously, as obviously posting on a forum doesn't seem to accomplish anything.
I'm at the point where I have to leave my phone on DO NOT DISTURB 24/24 to avoid being disturbed by spam calls and spam texts, but that only silences them, it doesn't prevent them. And it silences texts from My Contacts as well, which is problematic.

I am having the same issue on Att.
WE NEED AN OPTION TO BLOCK ALL MMS EMAIL TO TEXT MESSAGES.
90% of the spam text I get in 2019 are from actual EMAIL addresses that are sending me a text and these stupid phones dont allow you to block an email from texting!?

This should take care of this annoying issue. I just spent 35 minutes on the phone with a WONDERFUL AT&T Customer Care Rep named Gina. She & her supervisor researched and located "Article *446389". It gave her instructions how to block all emails being sent as text messages on my Samsung Galaxy S9+. AT&T has to do it on their end. As she just did it for my account, I am hopeful that I will not receive more of those pesky texts. When you call AT&T, ask the representative to look "Article *446389". Hope this helps!!

This is a rash of sms spam messages that we are receiving DAILY! We need a process to block these email addresses that is not convoluted, requiring signing into an account and typing in an email address to block (not able to copy and pasted from the sms app) ) :
