Galaxy watch 4 numbersync issue

I just got the Samsung Galaxy watch 4 classic. Using a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5g phone.  I also cannot connect the number sync.  I get an error on the watch Sd-Sdk-200 and a Pd-sdk-system_error on my phone.

I have tried turning off the VPN, uninstalled, reinstalled, unpaired, paired, turned off call protect, and everything else under the Sun and I still can't get it connected. Any suggestions please ?

Hello @Jj8279, we definitely understand wanting to get the most out of using the Numbersync feature.

Thank you for providing the troubleshooting steps you have tried. If you are receiving the error mentioned, this may indicate that the registration failed, software update is needed, or there is a missing requirement with the sync.  We can try a few troubleshooting steps together to resolve this error.

  • Your device will need to be HD voice capable and have it enabled (typically on androids this is somewhere in Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Mobile Data > Enhanced LTE)
  • If you aren’t sure if you already have an ID or need to create one to sync your wearable to your smartphone, visit AT&T Access ID for NumberSync for wearables.
  • Set up NumberSync for wearables- Learn how to set up NumberSync so you can make and receive phone calls or send and receive texts on a compatible Android smartwatch.
  • You must have a user ID associated with your smartphone number to sync your Android tablet. Each smartphone number must have its own user ID. If you don't have a user ID, you can create one during the set-up process.

Make sure that you have the most recent software update on your device to ensure that you have the latest features. Once you have verified that your software is update to date:

  1. Restart AT&T Messages on your Smart Device
  2. Go to Message App
  3. Go to settings then More Settings
  4. Select AT&T Message Backup & Sync and Select Restart

For additional, step by step troubleshooting tips visit our Device support page. Select your devices Make and Model and then follow the prompts. We're here if you have any questions. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

Numbersync on the watch 4 has been a headache!

https://www.att.com/support/article/wireless/KM1159378/

You may want to start over.  First change the access ID password for your phone line.   Wait 15 minutes then set up same with wearable line.

Numbersync is a terrible product with android.  AT&T should have dumped it years ago.  Verizon number share works flawlessly, and paring us simple.

This is a joke right?

The original poster has given a list of things that they've tried and none of them was successful. Why on Earth would there be a correct and official answer when the original poster still does not have a functioning device?

@Jj8279

Is your watch working now or are we being gas lit here?

nope, still not working.

I was advised by the Office of the President at AT&T there is an acknowledged issue with android and numbersync,  There is not date for resolution but they are well aware of it and are actively working to fix it.  Apple and Numbersync is not affected.

I will not bother resetting, repairing or doing anything else at this time as it's just waiting my time.  Hopefully it will be fixed soon.  @formelyknownas I have tried your suggestions as well but they unfortunately did not work either but thank you.  I have used NumberSync for a few years with no issues, I can only hope they fix it for good this time.

Very discouraging.   There has been an on-again off-again problems with Android and Android wearables and numbersync. For some reason the Watch 4 is even more problematic.

If you search both here and other sites, it's been going on for months.   It might be worth going through Samsung and having them replace the device under warranty. But I don't know that that's going to resolve the problem. Searching other sites might also turn up a solution that has not been thought of on this community.

Good luck

I finally got number sync working let me know if it works for you.  I decided to go in my phone and click on manage my device on att then I went to Manga number sync the page took a while to load first time it loaded it was blank so I refreshed then it loaded fine. It asks you to input number sync codem. So I went and clicked on number sync on my watch and finally got the code.  It also did an error after I input the code saying it didn't work.  But my watched said number sync is on.  Messages started syncing.  So to test it I shut off my phone and called my fiancee and it was my number not the watch number.  Also texted her and all seems to be working.  Hope this helps u guys
