email to text not working

We have systems that send and email translated into SMS text to several of our phones.

It has stopped working.

We are wondering how to check if AT&T is blocking it.

We know how to check our individual blocked numbers.

I totally get it. I am not suggesting you talk by email.

Let me know how I can add the associate in and I will.

I get it. Not suggesting you need to do that. How can I add someone into this thread?

I will add the associates that would be able to show you the details you need to figure it out.

Hello. I'm looking at this issue from the Antylia IT side of things. What do you need from me?

Thanks,

Sam

We are experiencing this same issue. We have systems that send codes via SMS using the @txt.att.net email address. The messages are not being received.

There are useful tips that can get text messages to start arriving in your email again, @jmendez_RCFCU! Let's look into that for you.

As described at Send text-to-email or email-to-text messages you may need to change the format of a message to send a text, picture, or video message directly to an email address. Simply compose a new message and enter an email address instead of a wireless number.

You can also reply to a text, picture, or video message sent from an email address. The recipient will see your email address as:

  • yourwirelessnumber@txt.att.net (text message).
  • yourwirelessnumber@mms.att.net (picture or video message).

Try either one. If the text message format is unsuccessful, then send the message in the picture or video message format.

Also, check out Resolve email issues. You will find useful information that can help resolve your experience. View the details under Troubleshoot your email programs or apps.

What's more, if you're getting this error message, Accelerator Not Found, your browser cookies and/or cache data may be corrupt. It’s an easy fix.

  1. Clear your browser’s cookies and cache.
  2. Try again to access your email account.

Give this a try and let us know how this works for you. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

Sometimes the messages are received quickly and sometimes they take hours to be received.

We are experiencing similar issues from a third party system. We were using mms.att.net which worked for several years no issue then a couple months ago some phones stopped receiving the messages or became sporadic. Then a couple weeks ago we switched it to send to the txt.att.net and started working for everyone. Now as of June16th we are no longer receiving our text alerts.

I am having the same problem. The error email says that att rejected my messages, but I have been using this feature for a year. Why rejecting it now?

Not sure if this will help anyone but for me, the failure is only through Outlook mail acct - both through outlook.com and the app on my laptop. I sent an email from gmail and an ancient netscape/aol acct. and both are working fine. I did just call ATT support though, they are troubleshooting the Outlook issue.
