Audio is lost on iOS App after Short Buffer

I have an iPad Pro and both on WiFi and on Cellular data if there is a short buffer (you see the rotating icon) briefly the video returns however the sound is gone. To work around the problem, I have to change the channel and change it back the sound is restored. However, shortly later the buffer happens, when video returns sound is lost.

Occasionally, the video will stop however, the sound will continue

This is a constant problem and happens in all data environments. I cannot imagine this being an isolated problem.
