Asking for advice with AT&T Pre-Paid and Traveling Abroad
I will be in New Zealand for a few months and currently have a U.S.-based AT&T Pre-Paid Unlimited Plus plan. I was wondering if I will have access to data, calling, and messaging in New Zealand under the same plan.

International day pass is for post paid customers only. Postpaid customers are usually prevented from roaming for the first 60 days.
Buy a SIM and service in NZ.
Make sure you have an unlocked phone that's compatible with networks in New Zealand.
FYI most discounted budget prepaid phones do not have the kind of compatibility or connectivity that will work outside of North America.

No. Prepaid does not roam in New Zealand. If you have WiFi calling activated, it may work from New Zealand but you won’t get cellular service.

Thank you for the response sandblaster, are you aware if there are better plans to go with while I am traveling that are also pre-paid that would get me all three services in New Zealand? The $10/day plan that I see on the international plans website seems unreasonable.

Thank you for the response. I have an unlocked smartphone and will most likely just buy a local sim. Thank you!
