Unapproved Account Transfer
I have a single AT&T account for my internet. My Father has DirecTV and landline telephone accounts. AT&T started communicating information about my father's accounts on the my AT&T account site. I had informed Customer Service that he wouldn't talk to them when they called because he's almost deaf. A while back the responsibility for the DirecTV account was transferred over to me. I was never consulted about the change and I never consented to taking responsibility for the DirecTV account. I have reasons for it being absolutely unacceptable for me to have any other accounts with AT&T.
If anyone; member or AT&T employee, has any advice or information to share I would sincerely appreciate it. My main computer recently failed to what is almost certainly a permanent end. The Blue Screen of Death appeared during a hard drive recovery attempt. The backup system fried at the same time. I've lost a huge amount of records and data. I'm using a notebook with Windows 10 and I hate it. Luckily I still have my old XP machine with a great sound card and my jazz collection of FLAC files on it's two hard drives and several thumb drives.
