That depends on how you've configured your profile for notifications.  By default, yes.

You can unfollow this thread, which will suppress any kind of notifications on it.  You can go to your profile settings, on the Notifications & Preferences tab and elect how you want to be notified.  "Platform" means it will put an item you can reach under the bell in the header.
