Legacy AT&T Pension plan info

Legacy AT&T Pension plan info

CAN ANYONE HELP?

I am a former AT&T employee, received a letter from SS that I have a pension benefit, but when contacting Fidelity they don't have the information, said it was one of the legacy plans that did not transfer over, and said to call AT&T.  When calling AT&T's Pension service center, it automatically transfers you back to Fidelity.  I'm in an endless loop.  I have a plan number, gave it to Fidelity and they didn't have info on it.  How can I find information about these legacy plans?

Note: I have called Fidelity,  but they said my employment ended around 2001, which is before thy became administrators and therefore they can't find me in their system with my legacy account #. Then I  called the HRone # and it just routs me back to Fidelity,  I can't reach a customer rep.

Hello robrosado, we're here to help get you pointed in the right direction.

Go to the AT&T HR Access  page for further assistance with your pension inquiries. Here, active and former employees and their dependents can get access to benefits and company information.

Let us know if this helps, and thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums.

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for your reply and  trying to help me.  I have tried several times to register at the AT&T HR Access but it keeps telling me an "unexpected error occurred please contact support" however no link or phone number is provided.  And when I call the HR Number it ask me for an employee Number and PIN, which obviously I do not have.

Can you please offer other suggestion?  Would greatly appreciate it.

We'll be more than happy to step in to help with your inquiry, @robrosado.

Our first recommendation would be to turn off your device, clear your cache/cookies via your browser, then try accessing the AT&T HR Access website again.

If you still need assistance, we recommend that you reach out to The HR One Stop at: 1- 888-722-1787.  The hours of operation are: Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm (Central Time).

Thanks for reaching back out to AT&T Community Forums!

Thanks Nelson.  Clearing the cookies didn't solve problem. And calling the HR One does not get me to anything as it requires me to provide an account number and PIN, which as ex employee from 2002 I  don't have.  If I get to talk to a representative they will forward my call to  Fidelity who says they can find anything on me and that the account # I have must be from prior Financial Administrators.   My question would be, wouldn't my old record be forwarded to Fidelity to continue  with the support?

Yes , the issue is the HR1 stop Does not allow me to proceed unless I enter a employee number or a pin number which obviously I don't have since I left the company in 2003. In addition, HR One always routes me to Fidelity, and Fidelity has told me twice they don't have  Any records on me, and that they can't help me because Fidelity became AT&T administrator after I separated from AT&T....😒🙄

@robrosado , i had the same issue with a Legacy ATT pension from 1986-1992.  i contacted Fidelity because i was receiving an error when trying to calculate an estimate of the legacy pension.  the customer service rep told me the reason was because they needed some personal information from me.  when i gave it to him, he was successfully able to find my records and i will receiving correspondence on the estimate of the legacy pension.

Hi Rob,

My wife received a similar letter from SS about an AT&T Long Term Savings Plan for Management Employees indicating she had a benefit. She left AT&T late 80"s. She just started claiming her AT&T pension. She dealt with Fidelity for that. Like you Fidelity has no record of the above plan. She has gone through the same run around as you. Did you ever find a phone number for this ??

I have also just received a letter from Social Security, notifying me of a potential retirement benefit, but I left the business in 2000 (it was then SBC Communications, although the notice from SS refers to Pacific Telesis Group ESOP, my original employer starting in 1980's), and I can't imagine where to begin with this, especially after having read all of the previous posts. It seems as though at&t is clearly not anxious to facilitate these pay-outs. Would appreciate any updates anyone similarly situated has around how you resolved this issue and/or received your money......
