Lawn damage by AT&T contractors in Nov. 2021 still not repaired after 6 months
In late November and early December of 2021 an AT&T work crew spent several days, over more than a couple weeks, digging trenches in my front yard and the rear NE corner of my lot. At the time they informed me that they were burying new fiber optic cable to bring high speed internet to our neighborhood. I was assured that my lawn would be returned to it’s “original, if not better, condition” when the work was completed. Since the ground was frozen and winter had set in before they finished, I totally understood why they did not do anything to repair my lawn at that time. However, it would have been nice if they had at least graded the surface smooth instead of leaving a bunch of hills, ruts, depressions and piles of hard clay behind.
I always assumed that with the return of spring weather I would be contacted about someone coming out to re-grade and re-sod my damaged lawn. I have been unable to contact anyone by phone through the AT&T website, and our village government has no information about who specifically was doing this work last Fall.
In addition to the damage from the digging along the front and rear of my property, there is also extensive damage along both sides of my property line from the work crews and equipment used to drag and bury large spools of cabling on a very cold and muddy day after the lawn had already gone dormant for the winter.
Please advise who I might contact to rectify this situation.
