Is it true: One America News being dropped from AT&T?

Read tonight in Wall Street Journal that Direct will no longer carry One America News.  If true this is a very sad state of affairs.  Not only does OAN do a great job of covering world news, it also airs complete coverage of many events that other networks do not.  I suspect this is yet another example of silencing and censoring what information the American public has access to.  Very disappointed in Directv.  Probably time to look for a different programming provider.

I am going to look for a new provider also. I will not support a company that does not believe in REAL free speach that provides the truth.

DirecTV decided not to renew the contract due to declining viewership which translates to dollars. A pure business decision made by DirecTV's board, not AT&T. AT&T sold off 30% of its ownership in DirecTV last year. This has been discussed ad naseum on the DirecTV forums and elsewhere. Whether it has been decided for Uverse to droop it for the same reasons or not I'm not sure.

Verizon will still carry OAN, for now, so you can always switch providers.

Bring back OANN!  This appears to be another left wing effort to suppress information from sources other than the corrupt left wing main stream media.  Can we make a trade for something that no one wants to see?

BRING BACK OAN or I, and I expect many of your (Edited per community guidelines) viewers, will drop AT&T like a hot potato!  To say it was dropped due to declining viewership is (Edited per community guidelines)!  There are multiple channels on U-verse's programing that i suspect rarely get watched but they haven't been dropped. Something else is amiss here like (Edited per community guidelines) media controlling what we see and hear!!!  I su(Edited per community guidelines)cribe to U-verse, AT& T internet and my husband and I each have an AT&T cell phone account and will cancel all of it if OAN is not brought back within 30 days!

YEP switching to Verizon ,,,,,,,,,,and all my phone and internet go with it from AT&T! The "decline in ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,," was just a plow to help out the you know who party.. Let's watch and see who's readership declines this month and next...whoops?

I heard that the OAN network was being removed on DirectTV but not U-verse. As of yesterday, I am not able to get the network. I pay a premium to get all the stations I like via one source. It seems that OAN is no longer part of my package. Please confirm as I will be canceling my ridiculously priced monthly U-verse package if I'm not going to have the freedom to watch the networks that I choose to watch.

DIRECTV technically owns U-verse TV and the retransmit agreements with the video providers normally cover all DIRECTV's services, so when it expired for DIRECTV, it also expired for DIRECTVstream and U-verse TV.

Wrong.  Yes contract expired but refusal to renew is all about views and cancelling non-conformity.  I watch all the news from 1202 (CNN) to 1218 (Newsmax) and all in between.  I get all sides and THEN sort out the bull and make logical decisions.  And one thing I found above all else…OAN ALWAYS brought receipts!  But we can’t have dissension, free thinking, debates…accept what the gov says, don’t question.  And yes, CNN, MSNBC, and even FOX are the PR of the gov.  They operate in tandem (just see how they now pile on Hunter story IN SYNC, but when OAN reported it was conspiracy).  It is political and Thun said as much. AT&T board Chairman William Kennard is a registered Democrat who was appointed FCC chairman by President Bill Clinton in 1997 and ambassador to the European Union by President Barack Obama in 2009.  Kennard also serves on Exec Board of Staples Street which is majority owner of Dominion Voting systems, which is suing OAN and Herring Networks (OAN).  But I digress, don’t connect the dots…that’s “conspiracy theories”, an overused phrase to dismiss with prejudice anything you want to go away.  I know for some ignorance is bliss… but try the red pill, it’s a trip!

No, nothing I said was wrong.  Agreement expired.  DIRECTV chose not to renew it.  That included U-verse TV because it was part of DIRECTV's agreement.  That is all I said.

Turning on the channel selector earlier today, 1208 - OAN / One America News Network is no longer available. 

No explanation, only that the channel is no longer available. 

Honestly, with limited interest in what is currently available to view, this is ONE channel that was locked into my favorites. 

Researching, it appears ATT U-VERSE has now merged companies, yet unfortunate why this should impact the programming??!!

Leaves one to speculate WHY ...

AS PROMISED, I CANCELLED MY AT&T / DIRECT TV THIS MORNING.  

(The free Live streaming services available are far more convenient with Great Audio & Video!! )
