Is it true: One America News being dropped from AT&T?

Read tonight in Wall Street Journal that Direct will no longer carry One America News. If true this is a very sad state of affairs. Not only does OAN do a great job of covering world news, it also airs complete coverage of many events that other networks do not. I suspect this is yet another example of silencing and censoring what information the American public has access to. Very disappointed in Directv. Probably time to look for a different programming provider.

Dear Uverse, thanks for carrying OANN on channel 208 (Houston, TX). We and several of our friends prefer it over the other news networks. My folks have DirectTV and couldn't find it - will it be available soon there? Thanks...

I'm glad you like that channel and are a satisfied customer! I for one have avoided that channel as well as Fox News like the plague. Hopefully as a tradeoff to having Fox News and One America, I can keep BBC World News and Al Jazzera America.

Unfortunately, we are all customers like yourselves and have no "inside info."

I've heard about those DirecTV test channels...if you know how to activate them, you never can tell.

Not for long! Why is ATT not accommodating OANN. This is in-American. That was the A for AT&T right? We should choose! And you should be neutral. You’re a tv provider and you’re not state owned! Or are you?

PLEASE! We NEED OAN news, the installer is here now to transfer us to Direct TV from Uverse. What would it take for AT&T to reconsider??????

Uverse has OAN, Directv does not. AT&T has attempted to negotiate a deal to carry OAN on the Directv platform, but in the end OAN would charge more then they are willing to pay. Perhaps they will get an agreement in the future.

If your desire for OAN is to the point you "need" it, the only way to satisfy that would be to stay on Uverse. Otherwise you could still switch to Directv and live without OAN for now until they might get it somtime later on. Decision is up to you.

yes but its a physical address so theres no email or phone number available to the public

@amazinw This is a contract issue between DirecTV and OAN. If they are in re-negotiation discussions and can't agree, the station owner (OAN) will probably pull its feed in hopes of forcing DirecTV to meet their demands. It's not political, it's business so please keep any political commentary out of the discussion.

I read the same article. It's doesn't appear to be a contract dispute but a decision on DirectTV`s part. If it does happen in April, I'll drop my service and switch to a different provider or just save my money and go streaming.

OAN being the anti-democracy (Edited per community guidelines) outlet that it is being propped up by DirectTV and ATT was having me reconsider whether to continue my service.

I was delighted to see OAN will lose funding and viewership as DirectTV drops them in April.

Thank you ATT for doing the right thing and standing up for democracy and the rule of law.

Glad to see ATT drop this anti American talk show. It has tarnished one of our best known brands. What Exec signed off on funding OAN? What is Att doing with money? How will ATT take responsibility for the major misstep? Dropping channel is a start only.

I just read DirecTV plans to not renew the contract to carry the One America News channel. If they proceed with this form of censorship of (Edited per community guidelines) media I will drop the service and suggest you do the same. I watch various media sources both (Edited per community guidelines) and (Edited per community guidelines). I've yet to find one that isn't biased one way or another but too many media outlets are clearly silencing (Edited per community guidelines) sources. This isn't China or Venezuela!
