Cannot access my sbcglobal.net email on computer

I have an very old sbcglobal.net email account.  About 6 months ago I quit being able to access it through the link on the MyYahoo page.  When I login and provide my email address it takes me to another login page where I have to enter my user id.  I enter my user id and password and am taken to another page with this error 'Accelerator not Found'.  I have cleared my cache and deleted cookies and it didn't help.  I downloaded the yahoo mail app but it doesn't work either.  I tried setting up Microsoft Mail to pull in my sbcglobal.net email but it doesn't work either. I can access my email on my mobile device as well as my tablet but not my computer.  I have a very old computer that I setup Microsoft mail to pull in my sbcglobal.net email a very long time ago and that is the only way I can access it (but even on that old computer I cannot access my email from the MyYahoo webpage or through the Yahoo mail app).  Please help, my old computer is dying and I need to be able to access my email on my computer.

Let's get that email access on your computer back, sjjones64504

The link that you are using on MyYahoo is expired and will not work anymore. Here is the new process to access your email on a computer browser:

  1. Go to Currently.com
  2. When that page comes up Click on the Mail Icon, (the envelope).
  3. When the sign in page comes up, put in your full email address and password
  4. Click Sign In.
  5. If the Sign In information is correct, then your mail will load on your browser

If you get an error talking about that your password is incorrect, then you will need to do a password reset. Here is how you do that:

  • Go to att.com/myatt.
  • Select Forgot password?
  • Fill out the password info.
  • Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  • Create your new password.

You can find out more information about sign-in issues with your email by using the forums article that has been mentioned.

To set up email with our your browser, you will need to use a program called an "Email Client". The  email clients that we can assist on setting up, on a computer, are as follows:

  • Outlook 2016
  • Outlook 2013
  • Outlook 2010
  • Outlook 2001
  • Mac OC Mail(all)
  • Mac Mail 4+x
  • Windows Live Mail
  • Windows Mail App

Before you set up your email client, you will need to create a Secure Mail Key

  • Go to Profile and choose Sign-in info.
  • Select the email account that needs a secure mail key. (You’ll find a menu at the top if you have multiple accounts.)
  • Scroll to Secure mail key and select Manage secure mail key.
  • Choose the email address that you’d like to use, if you have more than one.
  • Select Add secure mail key and then enter a nickname for the secure mail key to make it easier to recognize.
  • Choose Create secure mail key.
  • Select Copy secure mail key to clipboard. Make a note of your secure mail key, so you have it handy if you need to update an email app on several devices.
    • For security purposes, the secure mail key only displays until you select OK
    • If you lose or forget the secure mail key, you can create new secure mail keys.
  • Select OK.
  • Go to your preferred email app and replace the existing password with your secure mail key. For an IMAP account, delete the existing password for both the IMAP and SMTP servers and replace them with your secure mail key.

After creating your secure mail key, then you are ready to set up your email client.

You can find all of the set up instructions by using our Set up or update AT&T email support article.

If you get stuck on any of the processes that we have gave, please reach back out here and we will guide you through them.

I am having the same issue now on the PC. I was using yahoo.com but tried with currently.com and both redirect to an AT&T login page https://signin.att.com/dynamic/.... When using the same login and password information I used to setup my iPhone Yahoo email app a couple of weeks ago, it gives the error message:

Check your entry and try again. Keep in mind, you’ll have to reset your password after too many unsuccessful sign-in attempts.
CARE CODE: 201 [LU100]
Without inderstanding why the password would be incorrect given I just used it a couple weeks ago, I tried to reset it using the "Forgot Password?" at the Yahoo login and now per the suggestion at att.com/myatt.  But it doesn't recognize my answers to the 2 security questions even though I did reset my password a few months ago using these same answers.
Since I don't turn off my iPad or iPhone these are still logged into the Yahoo email using the Yahoo email app and able access my email.  I checked to see if my User ID, i.e. email [email scrubbed] was still valid and got an email confirmationf this when I did a "Forgot User ID?"
Very frustrating as this happened before about 6 months ago and even though I thought the password was originally correct at least the security questions / answers to change my password worked.

@MC53 What happens when you try to reset using the ATTHelp response in this thread of: Go to att.com/myatt

You can aslo try to do the "Forgot Password?" option using the following link and at the Sign In menu: https://currently.att.yahoo.com/

I was eventually able to get to a page that allowed me to reset this but forgot which url I useed to successfully do this as there were other AT&T issues going on the time and attempted it a 1-2 day later.
