AT&T Medicare Advantage (PPO) Plan 2022
After receiving a tri-fold card in the mail from the AT&T benefits center, I was led to believe I could enroll in the AT&T Medicare Advantage Plan. I called the 866 phone number to enroll and after further investigation I was told by a benefits representative that I was not eligible since I had resigned from the company even after 17 years of service (1982-1999). When I questioned why the tri-fold post card was sent to me from AT&T benefits department, the representative informed me that the company mails out flyers to former employees who are turning 65 soon as a standard practice. I'd like to know if there is any documentation (CWA agreement) that confirms what I was told by the benefits representative. It does seem rather misleading to make it appear that I could participate in the Medicare Advantage Plan and then find out that I'm not really eligible. All thoughts and comments are welcome.
