New Construction - Underground Conduit - Tennessee

I am building a new house in a rural area, and would like to have AT&T run an underground line from their existing pole at the front of the property to the new house. This is needed for telephone service. I have been unable to get any technical assistance by calling. Is there anyone at AT&T who can answer a couple simple questions about size of conduit, etc? I plan to have my contractor lay the conduit. I would love to have someone from AT&T come out to look at the situation, but thus far have been unable to speak with anyone other than people in the billing department who have no idea what I'm talking about.

at&t wont send anyone out until an order for service is placed. usually 2 inch conduit is sufficient but if its aerial they will string an aerial drop and not come down the pole to conduit.

I don't know if it will do any good, but you can try to contact engineering in your area through the business forum. I don't know if there's differences between the states or not.

To Contact Engineering access the business forum, you'll need to register in that forum:

Click on AT&T Community Forums top left. Under Additional forums click on Business Forums>Business forums>Business Apps and Solutions>Construction and Engineering Assistance
