Thank you for reaching out to us, @Chasmuel

You can  increase or decrease the amount of rings before you voicemail answers,by following these steps.

  1. Go to Account overview > My digital phone > Check or manage voicemail & features.
  2. On the Voicemail Settings tab, scroll to General Preferences and select Set Number Of Rings Before Voicemail
  3. Choose a setting ranging from 1 ring (6 seconds) to 6 rings (36 seconds)
  4. Select Save.

Please let us know if this was helpful to you.

Thank you for replying back to us, @Chasmuel.

Do you have a Traditional landline or AT&T Phone, digital service?? This is to ensure that we provide you with the right steps in order for you to change the number of rings before your phone goes to voicemail.

Please let me know which phone you have.

We're here to help with your landline rings, @Chasmuel!

We don't have the ability to assist with this landline setting on the Community Forums, as it requires access to your account settings. Due to this, we suggest continuing to reach out to our main line at 1-800-288-2020 for further assistance getting this resolved. We don't have a direct number for this type of concern, but we can get you connected to a specialist that can work with you towards resolving this.

Let us know if you have any further questions. Thank you for being a part of our AT&T Community!
