Port out pin to move from AT&T home phone to lower cost wireless carrier
Due to high costs and lack of use, I'm trying to port my AT&T home phone number to Ting, a low cost wireless carrier, while keeping my AT&T home internet. Ting needs a 5-digit number to make this change. I've talked with at least 5 different people at AT&T today, most just transfer me to a different department, and one who told me that such a number does not exist. Can anyone please help?

Never heard of a 5 digit either.
Just give them your (10) Digit Phone Number
(Your AREA CODE - XXX) & (7 Digit Phone Number XXX-XXXX)
How much does Ting charge for a Line ?

Can't find anything about any PIN, but found this website, might be of help:
http://www.sound-tele.com/blog/can-i-transfer-a-land-line-number-to-a-cell-phone
Everything I read, this will take a week or so to go thru. Also all sales. charity, etc calls you were getting, you will get them on the cell phone using minutes.
I use Basic Talk, $9.99 +fees/taxes/mo, I pay $12.39/mo, unlimited US/Canada. 😉
