Outgoing caller ID is controlled by the phone company's equipment. If you have AT&T digital service you can access your phone features in your myAtt account and turn it off or on yourself. What do you mean by you messed up the settings? What settings? The incoming caller ID information comes from the phone company. Depending on the provider and how pure the code is some phone may not recognize the code.
