Trying to have the phone lines removed from poles that are located on my property

I am about to start construction on my property to build a house. The lot is vacant now. On my property are 9 telephone poles that use to carry phone, electric and cable. Electric and cable have been removed from the poles and AT&T is the only line left. The poles are about to be removed, wire on them or not. I have had an open ticket with AT&T for more than 4 months to have them removed and so has COBB EMC, the electric company that owns the polls. My Ticket number is NG13C237. How can I get these removed before the trucks arrive next week.

if there is any active services prepare for big fines from the fcc and jail time if you remove them , they are in a utility easement

What are you being told when you call in for status with the ticket number? You say "used" to carry service. How can you be sure they still don't?

I understand and there are no users on these lines.  I am trying to work with AT&T to have them removed and do not intend to take down the poles until they are down but, with construction starting, it will not be safe the way they are now.  Thanks for the post.

The lines are on my and my neighbors property only.  My neighbor does not use AT&T and neither do I.  It is a strange property but there are only two owners of the property that these lines serve and neither are using AT&T.

ist doesnt matter if you use at&t or not if they are in a utility easement then they will stay if there are active services, ny house is 100%solar and pge isnt going to remove the poles on my property just because i dont use them.

Let's get an update on those phone lines, @magaharp

Thanks for your input, @spoom2 and @Constructive!

You'll need to call 800.288.2020.

  • Have AT&T service? Provide your account info and say, “Line is down.”
  • Don’t have AT&T service? Say "No account." When asked if you want to order new service, say "No." Then, to let us know why you're calling, say “Line is down.”

If you have any other questions, just let us know. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

@ATTHelp The OP already has a ticket number, they want to know when to expect it to be done. Evidently calling for status on the ticket isn't getting it done. I'd think engineering would be the next step, but @Constructive can address that better than I can.
