Old AT&T phone wiring throughout the house. What is it?
I am an amateur here but the home was built in the early 1990's and has phone jacks in most of the rooms. Behind the wall the cables running into the jack are grey, 8 wire, non-braided, cable which has the laser printing on "AT&T-0 KD DIW 4/24 (UL) TYPE CMR 27204 FEET". I have searched the internet and came up dry. What kind of wiring is this? is there a certain category it falls under? Can it be used for data of certain frequencies or is it solely meant for voice/phone? Where can I get my hands on it, or an alternative?
