3G Wireless Home Phone Upgrade Emergency
On 2/14/2022 AT&T notified me for the very first time that my WF721 wireless home phone will be deactivated by the 3G sunset on 2/22/2022. I have obsessively called AT&T's 3G upgrade hotline at (800) 880-8581 every day since this emergency was revealed to me. No one at that number is able to order a replacement device and obtain confirmation.
I have also tried acceptfreephone.att.com but that page will not load using AT&T internet(!) I tried from a different location with Spectrum internet and the page loaded, but will not accept my AT&T wireless home phone number to begin the order.
My AT&T online account displays an "Upgrade Now" button on my Wireless Home Phone page. Clicking the button generates an error instructing me to call customer service at (800) 331-0500. No one at that number is able to perform the upgrade.
As I write this at 5:30pm, the celestial sunset currently underway provides a stark reminder of today's 3G sunset which threatens to permanently end my phone service any moment now.
Is there anyone at any level of the AT&T corporation who is able to facilitate this upgrade and rescue a decades-long customer from forced annihilation?

ATTHelp is now advising me that AT&T stopped selling/supplying Wireless Home Phone devices on 12/7/2021, more than two months before their first notice to me (by their own admission). They are suggesting I should source a device elsewhere and will provide no assistance in that regard. Needless to say, it appears my decades-long relationship with AT&T is careening towards a brick wall.
Has AT&T denied any other WHP users a replacement after 12/7/2021?
Has anyone obtained a WHP replacement from AT&T after 12/7/2021?

@jepherey You don't need to post on every topic for the WHP. The date of the original post is on them and you know they didn't wait months to try to install them. All those who said they couldn't make them work received them as a replacement to the unit they already had, but would no longer work when 3g was retired. You have your options select one.

Sorry for the flurry of inquiries, but I am seeking data points on the experience of other WHP owners and I could not find a way to direct message anyone.
@spoom2 Thank you for providing the escalation path. I just spoke with the Office of the President and they are working hard on a resolution.

Well, I received the same message that I need to update my device. I received the IFWA-40. Plugged it in and it is not connecting to my phone. The battery is installed the power is plugged in and turned on and I've connected my phone cable into the port. Not sure if there is something else I need to do to get it to work. I have a full signal and battery lit up on the device. I've tried calling the phone number on the letter and no one answers. I've tried the chat option online but only get an automated response. This is my last hope. Can anyone advise? My old device was a WF720. Thank you!

@bubbazrus You may need to bring it to your local AT&T store to complete the activation.

You can try this link first select SIM card only a couple of users said this link worked for them. If it doesn't work do as suggested by @jepherey and take it to an AT&T store.
