Landline down 5 days, not storm related. No one will help.
First, this has nothing to do with hurricanes--we live in Tennessee. Four days ago we had a power outage in our area. Not sure why--it was a sunny day with no wind. This isn't unusual for our rural utility. However, this time the phone went out too. We checked the box where the phone line comes into the house. It's dead there, so it's not the house wiring. Billing is on auto-pay with an 84 dollar credit.
We can't seem to get AT & T to help us. There's no cell service where we live and we have to drive five miles to get a signal. I'm disabled in a wheelchair with serious medical problems and have to be here by myself for days while my husband is away at work. I can't be without 911 service. Every time I have to deal with this company it drives me to tears. I don't know what to do. How can I make them fix my phone line? Please, can anyone help me?
