Home landline repair service--Unbelievable

I just got to post a gripe, so possibly someone at ATT will fix this.

My parents home phone is not working. So I called the number on her bill and cannot report on Sundays.

But, you can do it online. Went though everything, you have to have an online account to report.

So I went through everything to make an online account, to set up the account, you have to enter the code that was called on the phone line that is not working.

How do you get a code, when you phone is not working? How stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally got tried a number for wireless support and got it reported.

Let's keep your parents home phone connected at all times, @ktbull.

Thanks for letting us know you were able to report it. If you're still needing help, we'll be happy to get this resolved.

Just let us know a few more details about what's exactly going on with the home phone. For example:

  • Is the service completely down?
  • Can't receive/make calls?
  • Trouble with voice mail?

We'll be here waiting to assist!

My 3 phone lines at home have been out for approximately 3 weeks. The problem is on the C.O side of the protector for all 3 lines. I reported the problem through ATT on-line service.

An appointment was made by ATT.  I spent an entire day at home waiting for the repair personage. 10 minutes before the 8:00 PM "repair by" time I got a message telling me they were not able to make the appointment and will get back to me when they can.  I, like many others, have to work for a living and can't just sit around waiting for ATT to get around to it, especially after they had me sit around all day and not show.

My wife works from home and needs her FAX line, Fax is a requirement of her company; they won't accept signed documents via e-mail.

I work in Broadcast engineering.  ATT is the worst customer service around.  the above is typical of their service response. I avoid using ATT whenever possible.

By the way, I'm 81 years old.

This is a two-year-old topic and will be closed to further posting. If you have a question in there, please open your own topic. If these three lines are business lines you need to call you rep for business service.
