updating my email account--which was deleted after some advice was given to do so and re-add the account....I can't get my account updated

I can't send/receive emails--have problems with adding the account/changing the email account.  I've had the email account for many years.

Hi @pearlgh, how long have you been facing the issue to send and receive emails now from the webmail? We are here to help you.  Based on what you wrote, we would like you to test webmail.

Sign in to your mail via http://sm.att.com/e05b5109. Once there, send an email. If it works there, it tells us there may be an issue with your client. We have some steps to resolve most issues in our Email Troubleshooting thread

If you are unable to send emails in webmail, there could be a lock on your account caused by spam. Our first recommendation, change your password which can remove the lock. Next, following the recommendations in our Recover Hacked Email page. While rare, your account may have been locked for spam. If you did not send it, it is imperative you follow the instructions in the link.

Hope this helps, if you are facing any issue feel free to write back to us.
