Why the redirect from ATT to DirecTV

I am trying to generate a secure mail key. I get redirected to a DirecTV page, with my profile information, but no ability to generate a key. I'm been on the phone with 6+ people for over two hours. No one can help me, I get bounced back between ATT and DirecTV. I have not had DirecTV for years and what's interesting to me is the suggestion to clear cache and history. I am using a desktop, iPad and iPhone, all of which are new and purchased after we dropped DirecTV. I would have had no need to go back to DirecTV website. How will clearing cache help? I watch the URLs and see the redirect happening. Any other way to get the key generated? Very frustrating.

We can point you in the right direction to get help with being redirected to DirecTV when trying to create a secure mail key, frrweb.

We recomend calling DirecTV to have your AT&T email unlinked from your old DirecTV account. You can reach them at 855-383-6121 or post on the DirecTV Community Forums.

Nothing is working regarding this. I have been bounced back and forth between DirecTV and ATT for hours now. I can no longer manage my sub accounts as DirecTV has taken over my primary email account.

Someone has to be able to fix this issue.
